  • The ASQ CQI course is designed to prepare individuals for the Certified Quality Inspector examination.
  • It focuses on reinforcing the understanding of the Certified Quality Inspector Body of Knowledge and getting practice in applications that may not be used every day.
  • The course includes practice with 'exam-style' questions and is more of a refresher course, not intended to cover all components of the Body of Knowledge in great depth?

Target Audience

  • The course is aimed at practitioners, specifically quality inspectors or individuals looking to achieve their CQI certification.
  • Attendees are expected to have some prior knowledge of statistics, metrology, calibration, and inspection and test, as this course is a review of the subject areas needed for the CQI exam


  • Candidates must have worked in a full-time, paid role.
  • They need to have 2 years of work experience in mechanical inspection or a related field, or successful completion of an ASQ-approved accredited technical/apprenticeship training course.
  • If candidates do not have a high-school diploma or GED, they must have three additional years of work experience
