About
The Certified Quality Engineer is a professional who understands product and service quality evaluation and control. The body of knowledge includes, but is not limited to, development and operation of quality control systems, application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, use of metrology and statistical methods, understanding of human factors and motivation, quality cost concepts and techniques, and the ability to develop and administer management information systems and audit quality systems.
Target Audience
The program is designed for professionals in the field of quality engineering, including those involved in the development and operation of quality control systems, testing and inspection procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
Eligibility
Candidates must have eight years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Quality Engineer Body of Knowledge. At least three years of this experience must be in a decision-making position. Relevant experience from ASQ certifications such as quality auditor, reliability engineer, supplier quality professional, software quality engineer, or quality manager can be applied towards this requirement. Education can waive part of the experience requirement: one year for a diploma from a technical or trade school, two years for an associate degree, four years for a bachelor's degree, and five years for a master's or doctorate
